These files are the English edition. Every screen is in English, and so are the station names and summaries Gadak writes, whatever language you chat in. Get the Korean edition (한국어판) →
macOS
Not sure which? Open the Apple menu → About This Mac. If the Chip line says Apple M…, it is Apple Silicon. If the Processor line says Intel, it is Intel.
First launch on a Mac
- Open the disk image (
.dmg) and drag Gadak onto the Applications folder beside it. - Open Gadak from Applications. The first time, macOS blocks it as coming from an unidentified developer. Click Done to close the notice.
- Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway near the bottom. On macOS 14 or earlier, right-click Gadak → Open → Open also works.
- When Gadak starts, choose an AI in the Connect AI window. From then on it opens normally.
Move it to Applications before you launch it. Run straight from the disk image, the Cursor and Claude Code connections will not work.
Windows
This is a first release. The makers have no Windows PC, so it was checked only under Wine on a Mac and has not been run on a real PC yet. If it does not start, please open a GitHub issue with C:\Users\you\.gadak\gadak.log.
First launch on Windows
- Open the installer (
.exe). If a blue Windows protected your PC window appears, click More info → Run anyway. - Press Install, then Finish. It installs for your account only, so no administrator password is needed. Python is included.
- Start Gadak from the Start menu or the desktop. It opens in an Edge or Chrome window without an address bar. Closing that window quits Gadak.
- Choose an AI under Connect AI at the bottom left. If Claude Code or Codex is already installed it is used as is; otherwise paste an LLM API key.
- The floating Gadak button
- One-click setup that fetches Claude Code or Codex
- The Cursor connection and auto-send
- The Claude usage gauge

Why the warning? Gadak is a class project without a paid signature from Apple (US$99 a year) or Microsoft. The warning means the app is unsigned. You can check that the file is the right one with the values below.
If the value for your file matches the one below character for character, it is the same file.
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/Gadak-0.1.0-arm64.dmgGet-FileHash .\Gadak-0.1.0-windows-x64-setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256These values belong to the English edition. The Korean edition’s files have similar names but are different files, so their values differ.
Chrome extensionReads Claude and ChatGPT on the web
With the extension added, conversations you open on claude.ai and chatgpt.com in Chrome are read and sent only to the Gadak on your own computer. It is not on the Web Store, so you add it in developer mode.
- Unzip the download. If Gadak is already installed you can skip this: Sources → Copy folder path in the Gadak window gives you the copy inside the app.
- Enter
chrome://extensionsin Chrome's address bar and turn on Developer mode at the top right. - Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder (
gadak-extension). - Reload any Claude or ChatGPT tabs that were already open. With Gadak running, a conversation you open shows up in its list.
Reading Claude on the web has been confirmed. ChatGPT on the web has not been confirmed yet. Temporary chats and incognito windows are never read.
